Community Rehearsal Reflection – Mandinaring Village

Earlier today, the first cohort of students from our Institute of Nursing participated in a meaningful community rehearsal held in Mandinaring village. This exercise was designed as a preparatory step for our upcoming community model, allowing us to engage directly with the environment and people we aim to serve.

The event was gracefully led by our dedicated lecturers, Mr. Bah and Mr. Touray, whose guidance and presence added depth to the experience. Students were divided into pairs, with each group assigned to a specific compound within the village. There, we conducted assessments and gathered valuable data, practicing the skills and empathy that define our profession.

After completing our fieldwork, we reconvened at the welcoming home of our esteemed principal, Dr. Cham. In the spirit of unity and reflection, we compiled our findings and shared insights. The atmosphere was warm and uplifting, made even more special by the gracious hospitality of Dr. Cham’s family. A delicious lunch and refreshing drinks were served, nourishing both body and spirit.

The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and a sense of purpose. It was a reminder of the power of community, the importance of preparation, and the joy of learning together.
